Memories of Now - 360 Video VR

Memories of Now was developed as an intergenerational piece, working with local older residents to retell their personal stories of Sheffield and connect with the younger generation. Sitting at the intersection between theatre, film and technology the experience places the user inside the frame of the story world.

The project included 360 video of the locations  in Sheffield which the stories linked to, with the story from the local resident player over the top of this. This was produced for the VR headset so that users could be fully immersed into the world the resident is talking about.
